This may have been mentioned before, but either I am the wind equivalent of Rob McKenna or it has been windy this year. All the time. No-one speaks of it, only mentioning rain, temperature etc but I would love to see some figures, if they exist, of average weekly or monthly wind speed for 2015 so far compared to other years.

Yes it has been windy, rarely calm enough to do Roundup and the like here.
Been plenty of kite flying days too, even when it was hot.

I could dig out my records but the vane isn't in the best of spots so not much meaning to it other than conditions in my garden behind the big pear tree.

Done a fair bit of night spraying this year as it's been blowing a hooly all day, some won't have noticed as they have special dispensation to spray in silly wind speeds. At least that is how it seems sometimes....

Same round here, really pisses me off when I do my best to comply with best practice .

Found this year the post 6pm lull in the wind didn't happen either(n)

I've managed to quiz my Cumulus software and it seems I'm wrong (at least comparing this year with last)

For Jan 1st to Aug 4th:
Mean wind speed: 2015 2.8 mph - 2014 3.1 mph
Total wind run (distance travelled by wind) : 2015 14525 miles - 2014 16244 miles
Strongest gust: 2015 32 mph, 2014 37 mph. :scratchhead:
