Wind prediction app

The past couple of years have seen few times when wind speeds have been unsuitable for spraying for long periods. This year so far has been a little more unpredictable.

I find that "The Weather Network" free app is about as good as they come for predicting the next 36 hours of wind speed and it can be made to display in chart form.

I use WindGURU, which seems to be the best for me. I think it's only really applicable if you're right on the coast though.

Just had a look at WindGURU .

Where would I find prediction graphs similar to these ?

Burnham is about three miles south of me (and the sailing club live feed is literally at the bottom of the hill just to the north of me). The three hourly wind direction forecast tend to be pretty good for a couple of days ahead, and their wind speed predictions are a bit over enthusiastic, but we normally beat the gusts!

Edit: You need to see the layout on a proper computer to understand what each line is. For some reason looking at it on a phone you just get the symbols with no explanation.

Much more variation at Burnham than Harwich today - All this is from my phone app [emoji6]

I feel sure that most of them use the same data sources and it is just the ways which that data is displayed which is different.

Incidentally I have fond memories of hand clearing corners in broiler sheds around your parts in 1971 with Ian Manger and Dennis ****? during a wet spell when bale carting at the Ulting Hall Estate [emoji6]
