Modern tractors so keep them shut and clean inside. Pet hate was an old workman here that always opened the back window. I was chuffed to bits when i could retire him .

Not good for Asthma having dust in the cab . All those fine particles you can’t see.
Does you’re combine have no cab on it.

That’s true. One reason I do less and less tractoring if possible .
to be fair I’d probably open the window when ploughing if soil was damp, but never cultivating, spraying or fertilising . Tell us what happened to make you think about it

Shut.
No need for it to be open, you'll still be able to hear any unusual noise or feel any unusual vibration in the cab. Actually looking at the machine and the work its doing, instead of checking face ache/TFF while the autosteer does its thing helps too.
Good walk around checks catch problems as well.
Drivers spreading slurry with tankers or umbilical with the back window open are a special kind of thick.
Same for sunroofs, WTF are they all about.

If there is aircon on refresh with outside air filtered I'd never open the window. Asthma, hay fever and a dislike of working in a greenhouse like a Nigerian in a Spanish polytunnel. My Zetor isn't blessed with air con so it means windows partially open and fan on full and stop working when I'm hot or dehydrated. I've had heatstroke twice when self employed mowing or topping for hours on end for folk so mean they deliberately bought a modern tractor without aircon and I'm never having it again.
Aircon cools in the summer and works as a dehumidifier in the winter keeping windows clear and drying wet clothes quickly.

Ignore that funny noise at your peril.
The only time I’d keep windows shut is when fert spreading. Amazing how prills can seem to get forward into cab otherwise.
