Pretty much the same, down a bit but not as bad as i feared. Mainly arable and suckler cows.
Big losers seem to be those that were buying a lot of calves on the white and taking blue beef special premium claim back in the day. Will be hard to take for some but many have had it pretty good for a long time under the old historical system.

Arable Farmer
We will be more or less where we are now as long as there is no modulation, etc, all arable + potatoes, also rent out grass which we lost entitlements on the last time round to stock farmer, should even things out a bit though although to be honest for all we get i would rather they scrapped the payments and let us get on with it!

We'll be down about 50% I reckon as we really worked the previous system. Don't think it will be the end of the world as we will land up with pretty much the same as we started with. I think it will create more slipper farmers and in our case seasonal lets may be taken back in hand.

I don't know what will happen if Scotland votes yes, interesting times!!

Sac were saying something about there having to be contract farming agreements to replace seasonal lets..?

What id like to know is what will happen when my tenancy runs out? Will they take it back in hand? I got the 5 yr sldt in 2011.

I'll be much the same.A lot of suckler farmers simply won't have enough subsidy to support their current number of cows on current costs and systems. For an awful lot,the only answer will be to put the cows away.

Looking like 45% of present payment, but what I expected since we finished a lot of cattle in reference years and also suckler cows with full extensification claims.Still do both and in larger numbers and over a bigger area so will be hard to take. However, have tried over the last few years to reinvest the profits into maintainance and modernisation of infrastructure (ie.fencing,draining,buildings,etc.) so will be able to batten down the hatches for a time until things settle down in the new system.I expect there will be adjustments in some values especially with store cattle since most finishers will no longer be able to ignore basic economics by subsidising their purchase from their SFP.
