As title got 100 acres of tundra beans up and growing, they look very well so pleased . But due to weather I’ve not been able to get any pre em on .
It’s quite a clean block for black grass so I’m not to worried and have the option of centurion max, my main concern is blw’s ,although late drilled and roundupped pre drilling and low numbers now I’m sure there will be some come.
What are my options?
They are thick so should compete and I can tidy the fields up next crop but I’d prefer if they didn’t look a mess.

Centurion max is not an option for beans

We drilled all but 15 ha of our winter beans about 7 weeks ago. Like yours they are all up and looking very well albeit a month behind where I would like to see them. We did manage to get Kerb on them and it has done / is doing a cracking job this year. I think your legal options are quite limited.

Not even with a eamu?

For broad leafed weeds post emergence you're really limited to bentazone + oil, which is expensive and not very effective.

I might be dreaming this, and need some big kahunas but I thought I’d heard of low rate roundup being used? Possibly in spring when they are big and very waxed up.?
Obviously not recommended but am I going mad?

Hmmmm, difficult one. Knowing what a huge mess I can get in with BLW in winter beans I've always said I would never drill them if getting a pre em was looking unlikely.
Thank god I haven't been in the situation that I might of been able to get into a field with a bean drill this year
