Kerb can be used to the end of Jan but check the label for timing. DO NOT USE Pendamethlin post em (Nirvana or straight) or Centium as these will damage the beans!

I am planning to drill some more in the frost tomorrow but its very well inside!

May I ask why? I did 10ha for a customer 10days ago with kerb flow at 1.7l/ha and stomp aqua at 2l/ha

Not post emergence I hope. That would have been illegal as well as damaging to the crop.

how come it's safe on fresh broad beans, but not combinable ones!!!!!!!!!!!

Bentazone, right little bleeder for getting into water. I suspect too much pollution risk for application to field beans but broad beans grown on smaller scale and later in season (vining peas more profitable so freezers not interested in beans until peas gathered) when soils well below below field capacity. Negligible acreage sown early for fresh sales.

As title got 100 acres of tundra beans up and growing, they look very well so pleased . But due to weather I’ve not been able to get any pre em on .
It’s quite a clean block for black grass so I’m not to worried and have the option of centurion max, my main concern is blw’s ,although late drilled and roundupped pre drilling and low numbers now I’m sure there will be some come.
What are my options?
They are thick so should compete and I can tidy the fields up next crop but I’d prefer if they didn’t look a mess.

Bentazone gets bad press for not being any good , but if used correctly and not as a fire engine approach it will do a fair job if used with an adjuvant as recd.
