Winter Beans

Been using a Claydon for ages to good effect for cereals but about to embark on winter beans for the first time. What is the best set up for the drill - short boot or bean chute, 3" spoon or carbide chisel tip?
Any help would be appreciated!

We use the 3 inch bean spoon and the bean coulter's , get them down around 4 inches job done. Rear harrow and batterboards no real adjustment from where we have them for cereals,

Keep a spare c tine in your workshop too.

I have the recommended narrow bean point and boot and have been pleased so far. (40 acres )I can recommend theses . I think there doing a good job not moving to much soil . And my Harrow is levelling off nicely I haven't adjusted the depth of the drill just banged the points and boots on. Dropped the front tine inn one hole .

Good looking cover. What is it and when did you sow it? You must have had a bit more rain than we had, our covers are barely half-way up our wellies.
was drilled end of july after barley , was gonna be rape but changed our minds, the mix includes peas, tillage radish, phacelia , oil radish couple different varieties , buckwheat, vetch, a few sunflowers and a bag of linseed we had kicking around..

How will you destroy the cc, or have you sprayed it already?

That looks impressive going through a lot of crop. Did you manage to run any pressure on the Harrow or will you have to go over it with straw rake or similar to close slot and level the field?
