Winter beans

Looked fairly clean before I put the elatus onagrono said no mildew to worry about!!!
Elatus ain’t cheap either!!
Will it grow out of it if it stays this dry and warmish?does it affect yield?

Amistar and teb due to go on this week.

Phos-star (phosphite, mag, mang etc) about £14/ht if I fancied it

Used phostar a lot. Good product.

Quite pleased with my tundra now. 38mm of rain 2 days ago and 70mm total for the month will of helped/ saved them.

Not really worth trying to control mildew in winter beans. If the sprayer is going through anyway it might be worth adding some phosphite as a prevention. The best control is hot, dry weather which is forecast.

Yes 2nd fungicide for this field it was clean first time so only had teb. Putting teb and Azoxystrobin on this time. The rest had slight mildew so it had teb and Metalaxyl-M first time. Doing these tomorrow weather permitting.

Yes only 12 pods on the tallest, 20 is the most I’ve counted on 1 plant but most around 15-18.

Anyone grown beans on light land recently? Might stick some in on a block which is on sand but I am scarred by a beans on sand disaster years ago…

I've got 10 acres on light sand and now starting to struggle. My other 25 acres look good on heavier dirt

Grew some last season on light ground didn’t turn out well .On heavy land this year look very well now just hope they stand up

Most of our plants have 15-17 pods on they look great but I don’t think they will yield probably drilled too thick after the previous 2 years of high losses
