A plant firm mate has a baslet bucket , he can fit a piece of screen deck to the inside, stops the flag type bits dropping thru .
But alot of shacking is hard on the machine.

Got plenty planned for this winter including the brakes on my 3120 and adding some structural integrity back to my JCB 3CII cab. However this is my main project this winter. This 2140s been out of action for 6 years, and has just been sat in the corner of a yard looking sorry for itself. About a month ago I was sick of looking at it and decided to do something with it. The engines been totally rebuilt and I'm just on with the final few jobs to make it mobile again. I had it started the other night and it was great to hear the old girl splutter into life again. Still a long way to go though, the cabs in need of some welding and the wirings a mess. My plan is to fit a loader to it to replace a 2wd 1490, providing the hydraulics and back end are still in good nick, my memorys rather fuzzy now... o_O I'll probably try and do it up slowly as much as I can, I learnt to drive on this tractor so it holds great sentimental value to me. Spent much of my youth trailing up and down fields with an 8ft roller on.

Lots of projects here it's a full time job. Telehandler and tractor gearboxes to repair, Dump trailer to sort, House to renovate... But this is something a bit different...

Engine to swap in this.... If I ever get around to it, seem to have lost motivation and interest somehow...

Nice little tricycle europa. What’s she running? 110hp rotax?

It currently has a Rotax 912UL 80hp but I have a nice low hour 912ULS 100hp here ready to fit.... I've not heard of a 110hp Rotax but there is a 914 turbo that kicks out 115hp.

I remember a guy having a mono wheel version at Rochester some years ago, his was the turbo which I thought was around 110hp I always fancied the mono wheel version. I think mostly because it had a slightly quicker cruise. Ended up with a share in an arrow. Big lump of a plane.

I understand from what I been told those mono's can be a bit of a handful landing, especially in a cross wind and are known for ground looping due to them having no differential braking... You'd have to be pretty quick with your feet on the rudder I'd imagine.

The only thing I’ve been in close to one was a power glider which has a non retractable mono wheel. Huge glider wings so no as effected by crosswind. I can imagine being a small slick wing they can be a hand full. What’s yours like to fly?

It cruses at about 115 knots with around 4800 rpm so as you say slightly less than a mono. It has finger brakes which are a bit different and the 80hp isn't enough really unless you have a nice long runway IMO, even though it has a VP in flight adjustable prop and smart controller. I only have a 400m farm strip and not much experience on type. The plane has been here in the hanger untouched over a year now. I need to lengthen the runway to be safe which isn't going to be easy, and fit the 100hp, but like I say I've lost a lot of interest now sadly as there always seems to be other things more pressing.

Everything I have is a winter project! Currently under sealing my 95 shogun, painting chassis then wax/oil. Need to do same on my Isuzu pick up, bearing to put in slew motor of digger, want to tidy up few bits and pieces on 7740, fix mudguard on cattle trailer, put a new shut of plate on my vicon wagtail, put a seal in mower bed and change oil, fix up my old pz hay rake that I pulled out of a hedge, gave £60 and used it 4 years now and I’ve this 275 international to play around with just in case I run out of something to do!
