Winter wheat measurements

Hello!
I am trying to find any kind of a document/book/lecture that has measurements of winter wheat crop at different development stages. For example: what height of the crop is normal to observe at the specific stage of development. Do you have any ideas where I can find it?
Thank you in advance!

Dear John,
Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate your help. Unfortunately, these sources do not have specific numbers which can help in evaluation of physical condition of a plant. Stages of development are there, but without specifications about height, how many kernels is good, what length of a leaf has to be at the specific stage, etc.

That’s because they can vary by variety, also farmers can use chemicals to shorten the crop etc etc.
Colour and nitrogen content are the normal indicators of health, yield is linked to health and weather and plant numbers per m2, even then the best looking crop can have its yield slashed by weather, lack of sun lack of rain or high winds / lodging if the variety has poor standing power.
The numbers your looking for have next to no meaning.

Makes sense. Thank you for the response.

As mentioned above, the plant height will vary according to variety, growing conditions, fertiliser and chemical inputs (especially PGRs- Plant Growth Regulators).
However, at maturity a wheat plant will typically be 80-90cm tall, and before stem extension (occurs in Spring) the height will probably be less than 10cm.
