Ok, what are your plans for T1?

Back in April when it was looking like another drought I was thinking keep it cheap! However we’ve now had A LOT of rain and 90% of the wheats are looking like they have some good potential. So, my and my agronomist thoughts are to go with a more robust T1
His thoughts are -
Myresa + Syrex twinpack (mefentrifluconazole) plus an SDHI (fluxapyroxad) and Stobilurin (pyraclostrobin) full rate is 1.5L/ha but going at 0.8L/ha

Another option is making my own by using 1.25L/ha of Revystar XE + 0.6L/ha Flyer 200 as it’s the sam e actives.

Also adding some Talius @ 150mls/ha for Mildew protection and straight Chlormequat plus some mang.

These are just what he’s recommending and I’ve yet to call round equivalents and prices but what are your thoughts? Is this covering all the bases or a bit ott? As I say it’s been very wet here now, crops are currently very clean and I’m now aiming for maximum yield this year

My agronomist has recommended Myresa + Priaxor at 0.6 - 0.8 depending on variety & whether or not there was a T0 applied. Add 1 - 1.2 folpet and some teb again depending on variety & previous. CCC/Moddus + manganese again tailored to variety, how each field looks & previous. It's a big spend but leaf 2 is well out & septic pressure has gone from minimal to very high in the last 2 weeks. 5-7 ingredients in the tank is making the operators grumble!

I'm very glad to have 2 sprayers running & it won't take long to get on top of the backlog of work. Sclerotinia sprays in osr going on at the moment too.

did 0.8 Ascra + 0.4 Azoxystar last Friday with 23 mm Monday before, and now we have 27 mm since so a good decision I think

Lots of umming and ahhhing, looked at forecast, breakdown forecast-went 1.0L Sparticus(bix +ptz +teb) over the lot. Nov sown ex beet will get some chord, firefly for other bits currently @ GS31. All had Teb at GS30 + pgr elements etc. Mostly good septoria ratings apart from Skyscraper-rest 6.5-7.0, so not ecstatic about timing on some(kept out almost a week with wet-dodging showers), but relatively happy we have (hopefull)got it about right for cover-given the very dry period beforehand. Just over £30/ha fungicide @ T1

Although wet it's still not really rust weather, septoria will be creeping in so maybe ascar. It's probably only a fortnight until T2 and the new stuff does have good kickback

We did 0.7 Aviator 0.4 Sinstar plus mn and mg aweek ago before the rain. Now T2 will before 1 June so perhaps you need to take this into account. I also like to spray at ear emergence before flowering so again a short window. Crops will catch up when it warms up.
I think you will be spraying at 14. Day intervals not 21

I did 1 litre of Aviator for T1.

T2 I'm leaning towards 1.25l Ascra, I think I'll prefer that to .75l of Revystar if price comes into it

There is a bit of farming north of Gloucestershire! Leaf 3 isn't fully out on some of my later drillings yet.

Warwick members' meeting this morning, all expecting late T2s then looked at crops and Extase had flag leaf 50-100% out, later varieties at GS37 or more.

Well, it's certainly grim up north then! We had the tip of the flag out on September sown Extase in the demo plots at our last field day 4th May. I will go & have a look to see how far out it is now. Leaf 2 80% out on most September drillings of slower varieties like Gleam & Costello.

Started T2 today on September drilled Extase, using 1l of Reveystar as we put on a weak t1 and think this showery weather is ramping up the septoria pressure. Getting on between the wind and showers is proving tricky but the rain is welcome as we’ve only had 25mm since March.

As you say flag on Extase nearly all there.
