Worth growing now as a feed? Guess disease profile would be poor now?

The one more than t'other, obviously.
what area is this pleaseDid some crop judging for a farms comp last week. 25 fields of wheat in a 20 mile radius. I did not see 1 ‘excellent’ crop and to be honest struggled to grade any as ‘good’ either. From the car everything looked decent but walking into them and it was all the same, short straw, 1/2 to 3/4 formed heads, partial blind sites, spindly and what looks like going to be smaller than normal seed size but that is just a guess presently. I got given print outs of a brief history on variety, date sown and husbandry since and I can tell you that those sown in September look no different to those sown in January. Honestly I’d be amazed if any of them did over 3t/acre grain and 1t/acre straw. I’d say the reality is more like 2t grain and 0.5t straw.
Back into the same area next week doing spring wheat so we’ll see what that shows.
Not to let the side down, but I'd say there are a few good to excellent crops around this neck of the woods, and that is from a fairly dire outlook a month ago.Did some crop judging for a farms comp last week. 25 fields of wheat in a 20 mile radius. My neighbour planted wheat very late, in March, and frankly I was expecting very little, was expecting Skyfall but no awns so probably Belepi?. It is all out in ear this week and I'd say looks "normal" crop.
Yes, and I am quite surprised.Have you walked into it for a proper look?
