As a short term solution to no lights great but imo do it properly and rewire the trailer. It's like when you see ifor Williams trailers with light boards tied on the back because the lights are broken it doesn't look good imho. If someone can't be bothered to fix the lights what's it say about the condition/maintenance of the rest of it.

They do work really well but as has been said I wouldn’t use them as a permanent fix. They’re more for getting you unstuck when the lights are dicking about on a trailer/implement and you’re in a rush to get somewhere. Make sure they’re secured as they will drop off if you hit a pothole and they’re not cheap if you lose one then have to buy a set. Don’t forget to charge them occasionally.

Guess a lot depends how much you use your bale trailer... From the right place they are pretty cheap and would certainly be useful for other implements or troublesome lights on another trailer.

Don't buy cheap ones ...they don't last!
As above cable tie them on !
Always put the little bung back in the charger joint to stop dust and wet getting in .
If on a livestock trailer ,remember to remove them in market ....else someone else will!
I disagree with the statement 'they look untidy ' , there are no cables or string flapping about as long as they are put on in a sensible place .
I've been using them ever since they came out , got a set in each tractor and truck .
I re- charge mine in the vehicle which they are in , no hassle .
