As others have said it’s best to cable tie them on when using them, I’ve just bought a new right hand light as my last 1 had vanished when I arrived at my destination ?.

I have a set , very handy for all different applications.... I wouldnt be doing away with the hard wire cable light on trailers etc but for example the used here the last few weeks.
Taking out 8' lamb feed hoppers on the back of the tractor.
Send father to pick up a small grain trailer that he'd bought at the mart in the dark that had no lights on it.
Back of a trailed feed hopper.
My favourite yet, going to pick 8x4 insulation up in my partner van. Doors fully open which blocks the lights on the van.....attach them to the edge of the doors..... Hey presto.....

Do they need some setting up before they are used, as we just can’t seem to get them to work!?
I had a similar problem, they hardly worked at all, turned out I hadn't fitted the wee ariel to the plug, the red thing in the end of the plug was in fact a cover over the ariel connection! Muppet at work.......
