Do any of you use a Davis weather station as well as a Sencrop weather station?
If so how do they compare in accuracy and reliability.
I myself have Davis Vantage Pros2, and during the four years I have had it I have had to replace the humidity sensor and the anemometer unit.
I think the rain gauge is pretty accurate.
I only have it as hobby tool,so accuracy not so important as if I was growing potatoes/ field scale veg which has to be irrigated to allow crop to grow to certain criteria, stipulated ultimately by supermarkets.!!
I have a Davies Vantage Vue and the rain gauge on it reads between 10-15% more than my official Met Office installed 5" copper rain gauge.
I haven't found any way to adjust the Davies

On my netatmo you can calibrate the rain guage by pouring in 100ml (I think) of water and counting the number of times the buckets tip which you then enter into the settings.

My Vantage Pro has small bolts under the cups which you can adjust up and down which allows you to increase or decrease the amount of water each cup collects before it tips.

Had Sencrop rep here today, apparently if you’re a Frontier customer they are paying for the hardware. You just need to pay for delivery, year sub and tripod.

The cost for sencrop+ years sub, delivery and tripod is £404 ex vat.

Is that a good deal? Hadn’t really thought about having one but would be handy to know what’s going on at our other farm 6 miles away.
