I got a wisdom tooth out at 10 this morning. Been bleeding a little off and on since but not much really. Since I finished my jobs at 7 and came inside Iv felt really really cold to the point of sitting with blanket over me and I'm still shaking. And cause of my anxiety it's making me worry as usual :/ is this normal to feel ? Have had the other wisdom teeth taken out over last 4 years or so

After a day of waiting finally got to hear from doctor, the symptoms I'm having since according to doctor isn't caused by my increased medication dose but probably to do with reaction of dentist even tho all symptoms I feel are listed on sheet as side affects of medicine. Feeling little more normal today but now 100% yet. If was a reaction I'd have thought would be out of my system by now

Last tooth i had out the dentist was sweating as much as me, made the corners of my mouth bleed where the pliers had rubbed fighting to pull it! I could have laid down on the pavement when i walked out , my legs had gone to jelly. Nothing worse than tooth ache

I had a rear molar removed as the dentist said it was dead and erupting after it was pulled i had the toothache something I didn't have before the next appointment they told me it was due to damage to the trigeminal nerve so I have been on pain killers for the past three years

Blimey! I thought root canal even with my lovely dentift was enough. You poor bods with wisdom teeth!
I've had two fillings, today. Barely noticed a thing. The nerve block wasn't a pain, or anything.

I hope the nerve does recover, @bumkin .

Had one of my wisdom teeth coming through years ago terrible ache it was, didn’t get any treatment dentist just said bathe it in salt water to soften the gum, I was dreading it being pulled out but the salt water worked & never had any trouble with it since🤞, nothing from the other though.

Wisdom tooth out three weeks ago. Dentist made a great job at the time, hardly felt a thing and it was pretty good until three days later and not too bad after that. Still getting bother now, though. Food seems to gather in the hole which I think is firing up the nerve as it results in pain going up to my ear  . To make matters worse, had root canal treatment on the same side on Friday and one seems to be firing the other up. Struggling to sleep, it's hellish.

Best painkillers for dental pain? I'm taking paracetamol and ibuprofen, too many of each really.

Might need antibiotics - check with dentist. Don't put it off.

No other painkillers without prescription as far as I know. Not safe to use the stuff you have for de-horning!

Go to chemist and speak to the pharmacist, explain the situation and get some nurofen plus (ibuprofen and a smidge of codeine) which is about as strong as you will get over the counter. If that doesn't sort it then you really need to go back to the dentist and say you are in pain- dentists can prescribe the same as anyone else. They will probably want a quick look see to make sure it isn't wildly infected etc which is an antibiotic job.

Wild infections in the mouth are one way of getting sepsis so shouldn't be ignored.

I find Nurofen rapid is what suits me

Bought some co-codamol tonight (paracetamol and codeine), so we'll see how that does. The dentist saw the wisdom tooth on Friday when he set about rodding my root canals 😣 so was presumably happy with it. It's not hot or swollen to the touch in that area, just a bit sore when you press on it and bloody murder when food gets caught!
