My dad has always maintained experienced cows will let you know when they are ready for calving and well this year I can definitely confirm it, no need for moo call here. (Likely jinxed myself)
Anyone else experienced it? I’m not talking about bones moving or tails up or slime out. Our cows act funny, stick heads out barriers near gates to get your attention. Soon as you open gate out they come and head for a bedded pen. You never have to go in and get one. They will calf within next 24hrs. Hard to explain but it does amaze me they’re not a bit slow.
