But if only 10ml is appled on the tail head, does the full 49-day withdrawal still apply?

Half life of active ingredient the same regardless of amount used.

Put 1ml or 10ml of metacam into a beast. It's still the same withdrawal period.

It all seems to be based on belts and braces X 100, just to be on the absolute safe side.

Unfortunately I don't think it would do mutch harm

Dysect is 7weeks [49 days] NOT 7 days.

Crovect is 8 days.

I even think the Guidance says that you should not run freshly treated with Dysect with untreated ones if you are planning to sell before the 7 weeks as there would likely be cross-contamination.

Dysect used to be 28 days withdrawl. Nothing has changed about the product but it's now 49 currently - the change occured around 10yr ago.

Dysect has never been 7 days, it is 49. And as per previous post used to be 28 days.

Crovect and all it's variants (Ectofly, Flyoff Vectocert etc) are all 8 days - read the label!!

Personally I’d give my mother in law the whole thing… after giving it another squirt of dysect

I'd skip the chops & just give her pint of dysect!

Just use crovect instead much shorter withdrawal one of reasons I stopped using the clik was long withdrawal and price!

It's all to do with licensing and what testing the manufacturers are willing to pay for.
