The drippy sounding chap who just woke me from my dinner time nap and asked "we've a couple of bantams they have started crowing could you give them a nice home please" grrr. now thinking of all the smart answers that would have put him straight.

If folk are planting trees it won’t be to expand game shooting, I am pleased he’s a shooting man as he’ll have better grasp for the need for it, for pest control as much as anything
I would guess, someone who shoots would be in favour of the type of trees we need planting, small copses of game cover like a patchwork throughout the countryside, not great monstrosities of pine as a monoculture.

Suppose it depends on the shoot I’ve been places where the guns know every bird and plant and what’s going on in the fields and I’ve been places where they where shooting at blackbirds not even knowing
