This country is f*cked. I've always said I've no problem with rewilding, as long as any introduced species are given the same legal protection as the fox.

Of course, these foreign invaders will have so much legislative protection that it will make the badger look like vermin.

I'm pretty sure the country of the Crusades, Rebecca Riots, Tolpuddle Martyrs, Revolting Peasants, Chartists, general strikers etc. will find a way to deal with this. Shakespeare himself was tried for poaching for goodness sakes. When did we get so soft?
