I’m hearing reports of Woodheads Colne stoping killing because of a out brake of coranaviris in the slaughter men.
Anyone heard anything?

It was wooheads spalding that was closed beginning of week.

Spalding was closed at the start of the week, we were supposed to take some. I’m now taking them Sunday afternoon so assume they at least are open again.

Just had a purchase order for Sun a.m. from them , so doesn't look like Colne .

Agent said 6/7 hours in the wagon from here (county durham) must be 360 plus miles

Woodheads Turriff killed 170 cattle from England this week I heard.

You would be surprised how far stock travels, often see Woodheads wagons heading to Turriff in the early hours if I get up for a pee in the night, can see them from the bathroom window, they must have loaded a long way away to be here at 3am

We used to send lambs there, 8 hrs from north Cumbria. Funnily enough the Scots lads graded our lambs a lot worse than the Lancashire lads..... funny that?

Used to send hoggs to Anglesey,loaded here at 5-6pm came off the lorry at 4-5 am down there, got great grades and ko%.
