Anyone had anything to do with the woodland trust more trees scheme or should I try to get some trees planted though my cs scheme which has not proved easy in the past ( too many people involved in the decision making on there behalf)

they have just text me now! So far a bit steady but they provide a reasonable grant for not huge amounts of Agro, I’ll keep you posted

Planted 2 small blocks of woodland and some hedging with their help earlier this year. Decided to go through them rather than RPA, even though the RPA schemes are probably better financially. I think the woodland trust team will be/are more helpful and less hassle.

Yes we planted out a couple of acres 5 years ago, very easy simple application process, trees have grown well and looking lovely at the moment

The last wood we planted was part of a cs scheme, took ages for a decision to be made, got the go ahead to plant, so fenced off then planted then put claim in and was then told they had changed there mind about it ! Took a bit of sorting out and are still waiting for some money for it ! Tho haven't been paid any stewardship money for 2 years and are currently owed a very large sum by the rpa through no fault of ours which they even admit it's an error on their side that is causing problems !

Hope you get it sorted out.
At least with the WT you only pay a proportion of the cost. Not the full cost and try and get the money back.

We tried to speak to them about the 8000 plus readers of Direct Driller all planting trees. About quarter of million of them. They sent a donation form. Couldn’t get any sense out of them.
