Woodland / wasteland required in Dorset

5 - 10 acres of secluded Woodland required in Dorset or on the border of neighbouring counties for Beekeeping hobby, family weekend camping during the summer months & general woodland conservation and family enjoyment.

Ideal plot will have easy access (vehicle access) from the public highway (to enable the transportation of hives and for convenience) stream, pond or water source on the land would be beneficial but all offers considered

Suffolk
From my experience most farmers are up for having a couple or five hives in places, particularly if away from FP's as the summer progresses and the colonies become more defensive over 'their' produce.
Me, I'd bang on a few doors and ask. 'Tis a good time at the mo as most farms are on go-slow pre spraying & waiting for the ground to dry. Only downside is that of vehicular access.......this may be a step too far to ask. IMO.
Here in sunny Suffolk it is really difficult to keep bees but there are a lot of farmers willing to help although there's not a lot of scrub or woodland. My elderly friend had 20 hives up until last year but he has cut down due to failing eyesight.

Good luck!(y)

Thanks for your input. I ideally looking to purchase the land

I lived in a pleasant spot some years back and wanted to buy 1/3rd of an acre........After much humming and haaaring the owner, whom I knew, hired an Agent, Valuer, Legal peeps & came back with a figure of £60k......o_Oo_Oo_O Needless to say I never went in that direction but simply moved to where land was a little more realistically priced and bought five times the acreage for a third of that figure!

So you may have some luck but don't get fleeced!
