Is a good job lmbs are a good trade, most now except wool is never going to be worth anything again and just do it for health reasons and the joy of the job.

'Joy of the job'? :ROFLMAO:

There's no reason the global wool price won't come back up again, but probably only to a similar level it was at pre-Covid shutdowns. It was already questionable then as to whether it made sense to produce it, but the compromises that need to be made to run shedding breeds currently also come at a cost of course.

Whether us producers will get a decent share of that global price is debatable, particularly if short term interests lead to a strengthening of the private buyers' control. :(

Ahh well you see that's your money for last year and no mention of a advance on what you've just delivered. So just tell your landlord that you'll pay this year's and next year's rent when you get your wool cheque this time next year and you may even put a offer in to buy the place. Up the wool board!

The payment is for last year's wool as they haven't sold the wool just delivered yet. They don't buy it from us, they sell it on our behalf.

You will get paid for last year's when you take this year's clip in, or, if you are one of those horrid Judases  that sent your wool elsewhere, BW will release the payment when you ring and ask them, just the same as if you gave up keeping sheep (or shearing them).
My wool has gone in, that’s a notice of delivery for some of the bags
