Yes, think i might give them a go this time. .with the mule and Leicester wool anyways, not sure about the swale!I took 1000 swaledale fleeces 10 minutes down the road to a collection centre for the Irish, about a week later got a cheque for £80, I thought at the time thats not much sure we got 2 or 3 hundred year before, a couple of weeks ago my mate told me he'd just got paid for his 500 swaledale fleeces he sent to wool board, £0.24 after haulage costs, I know where mine will be going this year, couldn't yours go to the same place muleman? Might as well get sumat for it
DB wools delivered mine after I rang and agreed price for this years WoolNo wool sheets and string delivered from wb apparently this time

I see good plan!!!You want them to slash costs. You can't have it both ways....
I’ll never pay to get rid of it...it’ll go in the cattle shed floorThankfully I don’t have sheep anymore! In the recent past I’ve only had 30-50 ewes and have given the wool to the clippers or more recently I’ve had 2.5 wool sheets laid around getting in my way so I just burnt them. By the time you lads have packed up the sheets got them on a wagon/ trailer delivered them I’d bet you’d be out of pocket. Sooner or later you are going to have to pay for the privilege to get your wool taken away. It’s like a waste product now.
By the time you have wrapped packed loaded and delivered it you could be already out of pocket . What ever p!ss poor payment you get might not cover your time.I’ll never pay to get rid of it...it’ll go in the cattle shed floor
I bet that will be good to muck out and spreadI’ll never pay to get rid of it...it’ll go in the cattle shed floor
Yes that’s what puts me off it. Bad enough when you get a few bucketfuls of it out of the tailing pens.I bet that will be good to muck out and spread
