Working out an area to concrete

Your right but would be close enough for a guesstimate.

Fairly, yes but too many variables in this. We need to know some angles. Is there a right angle in one corner to start.

I reckon your method is flawed but then it's your job, I've never done concrete ordering.
Top left should be near enough, none of the others are though

Go with this answer then
I'd be interested to see who's closest ;)

I'm on 2 full loads. :( £££££

edit - my first line wrong should be 9.7 x 7.1.....shortest x shortest

so back to 13.2 for my answer, works out the same as multiplying the average of the 2 opposite sides like the pro's do it. ;)

'there must be an app for it ' as my builder says.

13.2 will be close.

13.12 is the most it could ever be , obviously relying on the depth actually being 150mm and the concrete company delivering what they say . Aggregate weights vary , particularly wet sand and concrete is batched by weight rather than volume so even with good intentions firms can be out slightly.

It's actually on a stupidly awkward slope bottom right corner is probably a metre lower than the top left, not looking forward to laying it but at least when it's done I won't have to do it again

It would be a nice job for a volumetric as you can dry it up to suit the slope and stop it when you want , they also have a large radius on their delivery auger for placing it .

I'll look into it, bit awkward getting in there, plan was to drop it in a loadall bucket and drive it round.
You'll be getting a call soon for some panels seeing as the last ones havent fallen to bits :p

The elephant in the room here though is 'How thick will it actually be?

another 20mm average over the whole lot will hardly notice unless the sub base is already good concrete.

Buy a Pan Mixer.
