Half an inch I don’t need it to survive a nuclear blastHalf inch for a propa job
16lb hammer will sort out your 7mm ?Half an inch I don’t need it to survive a nuclear blast
It’s 6 x 4 so would need 2 ft cutting off....I didn’t really want to make another one as this stand is redundant and thought I may as well weld a plate onto the top and make a benchWill you have to cut the plate down. If so I would suggest you start from scratch with box, much better job than angle. Think I’m paying about £22 for 7.5m 50x50x2.5 box so it’s not expensive. 10mm for proper job.
I would say inch thick would be ideal if you want it to last forever and do anything. If it can be distorted with a 16lb hammer its not thick enough.Half an inch I don’t need it to survive a nuclear blast
They won’t when I’ve finished reinforcing it allNot worth putting any more than an offcut of 6mm on that. The legs will give way before the top.

At least 20 mm but go a bit thicker if you can a Cb good idea to hav at least 3” overhanging your frame do you can use clamps around the edge without interfering with the frame you always make things from a corner the one I use had 35mm top
