I know this is a bit of an old post but if anyone has any more info on these Collins Teleshift I'd be most grateful - just bought a 440 (Green) so about to roll up sleeves and get stuck in.... TIA

A little update if anyone is around/interested - Finally took delivery this morning (in the rain) so not had a lot of time yet - poor thing needs a bit of TLC - it is a green 440/2 with a ford engine. It has had a plate welded either side of one of the booms - looks solid enough; if it sounds like one anyone on here has had or knows about I would be happy for any heads up on anything . Needs a new steering wheel from the get go and the steering is what I can only describe as 'imprecise' !! Looks like someone has been living in the cab (or quite possible died there!)....

Well looks like I ought to have spent a little more time looking before buying - It has a porous block - or worse. Seems to run fine but only if you don't fill the radiator !! Anyone fixed these in situ or is it an engine out job ?
