As I read it - a person employed as a contact tracer hasn’t had any work to do, but is still being paid, despite there not being work to do, possibly because the spread of the virus hasnt panned out as per predictions.

With parliament not sitting and the Labour Party previously in disarray the tories have been able to make many false claims (lies) without fear of contradiction . Hopefully now that Starmer is getting his act together every one of the false claims will be brought into the spotlight and people may realise how much they’ve been lied to.

And I TOTALLY agree with you. (Though I do care about the obsessive world-beating claims that are lapped up and repeated until they achieve the status of 'truth' that no-one questions.)

We are approaching world beating, but not in a good way - near the top of the league for deaths per million population, world beatingly bad at handling the situation. Probably only exceeded by Bolsanaro and Trump, and at least Trump is tempered by having quite powerful state governors.
