Same as their Cake range "Holly Lane" won't have an idyllic bakery with Holly Lane vans in and out.

The Origin is on the pack of Meat with the details of kill cut location etc. They simply sell it labelled Ashfield like they do Pizzas under the name Carlos or Breakfast cereal as Harvest Morn or whatever. It's not hard.

I love aldi's meat section. Last time I was in, EVERYTHING, fresh and cooked, was Scottish or British.

is this yet another case of the consumer confused as to the origin of the product ? why oh why cant the labelling of food be sorted out so the consumer, buyer knows exactly where the product was grown, born, raised etc etc? this has been going on for years and years?

Whenever I'm back in the UK I always wander round the supermarkets looking for this confusing labelling. Haven't found any yet, in my opinion a lot of supermarkets do well with it and promoting British produce. Certainly better than the supermarkets here.
