We watched it over Xmas, and my 10 year old daughter didn't like it at all, l thought it didn't have that kinda meloncolly feel about it, maybe kids in the 80s were easier pleased, nice countryside still.

Kids, 9, 7 and 3 loved it, really caught their attention.
I thought it was pretty good really, and could be good platform to teach about bits of country life.

I was skeptical but watched it with the kids and they say politely through it all , might be good to have Worzel as a device to talk to the kidz about what that goes on in the countryside / seasons ect

Mckenzie crook is a good ambassador for the countryside , once worked/volunteered in conservation , and is refreshing to the normal media attitude toward us , as rich factory farmers that kill anything in sight .

No. In the first episode, the pattern was created in the green oats by Worzel and the other scarecrows to make the key to unlock the seasons (something got in my eye at that point). The seasons turned, and the oats ripened.

No mention of the music? It's variations on traditional tunes, performed by The Unthank family, isn't it?
