WOSR from a subsoiler

Just wondering how many people sub-cast their wosr?

I run a spadings flatlift with discs then a rear did packer.
Currently drop seeds behind legs, immediately before packer.

What works best for you guys?

I was wondering about seeds after packer, then maybe some tickler tines to cover a bit?

I grew HEAR, but think a good system would work with all osr.

Simba/Great Plains seem to be plugging the seeding after the press method with following tines, whilst most others seem to do it your way, me included. Applying seed after the packer will have a more even depth but then relies on consolidation straight behind it for seed-to-soil contact. Simba wouldn't sell tillage combination gear like presses, would they? :p

we are running a twb seven leg and placing the seed just before a guttler packer (which we are very pleased with) the seed is placed via a mini frreflow boot just to try and place the seed at a set depth , so far very impressed how it has worked and how crop is looking

Appreciate horses for courses and all that. But given Sumo has best results and reccomended by Shaun put seed after packer spread all over henry. Why oh why go for wide rows. Unless you is inter row spraying. Rember surely spatial arrangement. Is you fert or other inputs at flat lift row spacing. Are your weed in rows or twixt rows. Why does Germany the highest rape average yeild producer do the opposite. o_O

What legs do you use?
Didn't realise you could get different legs on a flat lift!

We always did it after the dd on our solo

The ultimate is the Simba Elita IMO for this method placing between 2 presses in line with the rings - LOTS of power needed though

And how does Germany establish its osr?

I'd tried spreading the seed over the full width of the subsoiler - but it only grows in rows after the legs?!

Of course because that is where moisture is most oftenly at that time of year. But by default if the desired seeding rate is 50 per square metre, and you are putting that number of seeds in wide rows, what is the inter row spacing of that 50 seeds. And what about excudates from the first seed to sprout, which suppres those nearby.
