We used to dutch harrow to get a nice level fine tilth, cambridge roll, spin seed on and roll again at an angle, easily covered the seed deep enough and made it nice and firm, I think if you dutch harrow after sowing it will be too deep.

I'm re seeding outdoor pig paddocks, which I've subsoiled then dutch harrowed to level them up, I've been going over twice which finished it off nicely, just wondered if I could spin seed on in between 1st and 2nd to save more work.

It would be too deep.Got any old chain harrows lurking in the undergrowth?Roll, spin, harrow with the chains and roll again.Obviously they won't look too impressive behind the 300hp 16 plate Fendt in a hundred acre field.......you would become a legend though.

We used to skip over it with a roto spike ,,drop the roller right down and go like stink ,,it disturbed it enough at an inch deep and the barrel roller mixed it in very well ,,rolls tight behind

Grass seed just needs tickling in out of the way of the birds that's all. My late uncle bought a brush box type small seed sower at a farm sale, it came complete with a set of zig-zag harrows to put behind it that were so light you easily could pick all four up at once! They did a very good job though.

If you've nowt else it'll be ok , jst lengthen the top link and run it on back tines and roller.
If tines a bit long undo the bolts and draw them up a bit.
Running more on the crumbler will help with consolidation.(y)
