Would this “Combine Attachment“ stop Blackgrass germinating?

I see the Canadian company “Redekop” make an attachment to go on the back of a combine which I assume is meant to grind weed seeds,so that in theory the seeds will not grow. As “Blackgrass Seed” is so small ,surely the seed would go through the mill without being ground??

Maybe not all, but must have some impact on a percentage of the seeds, just depends if it outweighs the cost of the attachment, I’m guessing it’ll be quite expensive.

It seems a good idea in theory , but as you say at a price. But I guess “ IF” it worked it could pay for itself over the life of the combine on the farm.

From what I remember from previous articles it was very expensive and used a huge amount of power. Don’t think it would suit the uk as we have a larger amount of crop residue.
