Oil bath air filter shouldnt be as restrictive as a paper one providing its not full of 1t
Good point about the revs M it should go up to about 22/23 on the clock then pull it back with the dyno

Not sure how hard it was revving as I don't have a cable, however I did open the throttle as far as it would go.
The oil bath air cleaner should have been ok as it was cleaned last week

Would the wire mesh in the air filter be clogged and restricting air flow? Its not over filled with oil, easily done?
As the tractor got older someone might have turned the revs back but, does the throttle handle pull the linkage on the pump back fully against the stop bolt?

It could be timing they have a chain on dont they I take it this is all ok
is it a case off twisting the pump round to adjust
