I would hope the muck is giving it a drip feed supply of P and N, applied a fair amount of sulphur with the last dose on N. Most of our land is fairly high in KI would wait until it's in boot then give it at combo product with P and N a touch of K ...a hint of zinc and sulphur. That will help grain fill and if it gets rain your yield increase will come from grain weight...as the number of grains is set by now...when in boot and head fill it needs some P and often can't drag enough through the roots quick enough so it takes it from leaves which then lowers leaf health and can't convert sunlight as much...
