Sandy loam soil
It's jb Diego after winter beans, and had 20ton/ha of cow muck applied.
It's had 168kg/ha of nitrogen in two splits, flag leaf is just fully emerged.
What do you think?

Looks good (y)

Too late now for much extra yield. You'd just be buying protein boosting now.

You'll have about 30 kg/ha N from the muck so just under 200 kg N all up plus whatever you get left over from the beans. That's normally enough for bodied land.

what's the realistic yield potential if weather plays ball ?

if you think its any more than 9t/ha I would give it another 30kgs

Should do 10t/ha realistically. Times ticking now. Don't want to throw unnecessary money at it to see it go flat to the floor!

I would wait until it's in boot then give it at combo product with P and N a touch of K ...a hint of zinc and sulphur. That will help grain fill and if it gets rain your yield increase will come from grain weight...as the number of grains is set by now...when in boot and head fill it needs some P and often can't drag enough through the roots quick enough so it takes it from leaves which then lowers leaf health and can't convert sunlight as much...

My two cents worth.

I would hope the muck is giving it a drip feed supply of P and N, applied a fair amount of sulphur with the last dose on N. Most of our land is fairly high in K
