Whats the largest diameter round bale than can sensibly be done with a McHale 991 wrapper?

Thinking of wrapping straw to ammonia inject. so bale weight is unlikely to be an issue.

I have successfully broken the table of ours, twice and that was only with a 4ft from the roundpack, seconf time was a proper job, if it breaks again I don't know what I will do.

other than that I would think a 5foot would be max if the wrap moved up enough to the centre and u don't turn to quick.

Hmm actually i was thinking of wrapping some straw to ammonia inject so bale weight is unlikely to be an issue.

I will alter my original post to make that clear.

ammonia inject? for what and why can I ask, just being nosey.

for straw I would be happy to go 5 ft, just need to keep an eye on it or u might loose it when rotating.

5ft wheat straw you might get 350 -400 kgs in it I've wrapped a few 5ft 6" haylage bales with our 991when I've been finishing a field size doesn't seem to bother it we've certainly never lost a bale off it just run it a bit slower and they'll stay on fine

Do you inject them first ?
