Why are people buying these bloody tyres if they aren't rated for the speeds a modern tractor can go??? You would think the manufacturer would be worried about the legal position of selling a machine with a limitation like that on it?? Someone could have been very badly hurt in this accident.
the problem is they are lgp tyres designed for fieldwork if you load them to the limit and romp down the road doing 50 k something is going to give, I am sure the operator didn't think he was being reckless

There are lots of these kinds of tyres around, you see them everywhere. There must be a design able to handle the loads and speeds required as they are all over the continent where triple axle tankers and trailers are easy to spot?

If a manufacturer is selling a triaxle trailer capable of holding big loads of stuff and it's tyres can only handle 30kph road speeds sure there are the big warning sticker on the trailer warning of this fact?

When did they check the pressures and were they correct for the speed and weight that is most likely cause of a blow out

Apparently it was a double blow out one tire when taking the second one with it .The driver was the owner of the vehicle with his wife was the passenger . Do you honestly think they were driving like prats when You got a precious cargo on board husband and wife Both are in hospital I wish them a speedy recovery . Doesn’t blow out’s happened to any vehicles some comments going on (people who live in glasshouses should not throw stones.)
Hopefully they make a full recovery.
Also due to the serious nature of the accident I hope it was properly investigated, if not by the police then the company in question. I would hate for the driver or his staff to have the same accident again.

If the trailer was hugely overloaded he should be treated no differently to a HGV driver.

Yes I do think it was possible he was driving like a prat.

for all we know there could have been a car coming the other way, hitting the mower might have been the lesser of the two evils. plus if traveling at say 60 mph you would be surprised how far you would travel by the time your brain had registered seeing the mower and actually steering to try and avoid it.
Which is exactly why you should drive at an appropriate speed-so you can react to hazards!

When you've just hit a broken down car at 60 mph, try telling the police it's the other car driver's fault for being in your way!

Highway code

Country roads
Rule 154

Take extra care on country roads and reduce your speed at approaches to bends, which can be sharper than they appear, and at junctions and turnings, which may be partially hidden. Be prepared for pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists, slow-moving farm vehicles or mud on the road surface. Make sure you can stop within the distance you can see to be clear. You should also reduce your speed where country roads enter villages.
