Bugger☹, this was going flat out down the road!
This was on the flat, not many hills round him either. This is the prop between the engine and the transmission as well not the mfwd prop although I’ve seen a few of them let go too!ON the flat or down a hill?...over here we see lots of Maori overdrive..free wheeling down a hill with a big load on...lots of speed..ringpiece tightens so the driver touches the brakes..4WD engages and blows the UJ's on the driveshaft...either takes the sump off, or if the driveshaft digs into the road it flips the tractor...usual excuse is I was only doing about 30kph !!!!

we had a drive shaft on a 7820 go bang and it knocked the hydraulic pump off?We had a 6800 shaft snap like that
As we were backing it into workshop to investigate the vibration
around here the silage boys free wheel down the mountain the problems arise when they try a guarantee claim and they are asked how did you get it up to fifty five mph also manitou props dont like going down hill as when the driver brakes the prop shaft does alsoON the flat or down a hill?...over here we see lots of Maori overdrive..free wheeling down a hill with a big load on...lots of speed..ringpiece tightens so the driver touches the brakes..4WD engages and blows the UJ's on the driveshaft...either takes the sump off, or if the driveshaft digs into the road it flips the tractor...usual excuse is I was only doing about 30kph !!!!
That doesn’t look like a cheap machine to buy and run!The video starts around 25 secs, and gets interesting from one minute.

Why should the insurance (me) pay for any of it if it's a mechanical failure?Mechanical failure is to an extent, just had a customer who’s engine prop shaft snapped on a jd6920 and smashed the oil cooler and a load of other bits! The insurance will pay for the consequential damages but not the shaft.

i think the menzi muck will get places a 360 wont get to?I think it would be cheaper and faster with a 5t machine and crane with skip. Surely that machine and a helicopter after is mega bucks.
Seen that done in Holland on a college exchange trip many years ago. We couldn’t understand why they didn’t use a buck rake. Clamp was just a mushroom shape on a concrete padYou could see that forage wagon was going over way before it did. Strange way make a clamp surely your trailing all sorts of muck onto the heap.
