Nope they were offering £25 per hour for tractor, trailer and driver and the AD plant would supply the diesel.
It sounds to me like there's some finance payments looming and they have nothing to pay them with, so they need a quick bit of cash, even if it costs in the long run, or something else is subsidising their hobby.
No doubt they'll be on a Grassmen video before long telling people how to do it.
On the other hand maybe they negotiated a better rate once they got there and the the AD plants that are using them have no choice but to pay.
Then they would be smart.
Who knows🤷‍♂️

All I know is that is what they offered a good friend of mine who has a large well run contracting outfit. He told them that it was that low an offer it wasn't even worth starting to negotiate. Yes there will be men who have to find the HP payments somewhere.

The deal that was being offered to contractors here in NI to supply Tractors and trailers was £25 an hour plus diesel per tractor and trailer. Three drivers for two tractors 16 hrs on 8 hrs off staggered running 24hrs per day.
Ahhh there was no mention of driver until you mentioned the shifts. I can't get my head round how 3 drivers can drive two tractors for 16hrs and have 8hrs off.
