What's everyone going with at pre em this autumn?
Usual suspects liberator and picopro/max?
Does defy added to the mix help with grass weed??

Have always used crystal but thinking of going to liberator this as I'm.sure we suffer damage in wet winters from the pdm, at least the sprayer wont be orange too, perhaps adding in some proclus, had some really cheap years on grass weeds here but the last two wet winters have taken us back a couple of steps so drilling earlier this year and spending more on chems,

Yeah I usually do .5 liberator and 2.5 picomax pre em which keeps clean till end march usually. Then have to spot spray axial pro for grass weed and maybe bit of zypar for later emerging broad leaf.mayweeds always a problem. Used a bit of chekker on them this spring which did a nice job

Mainly broad leaf (groundsel, mayweed, speedwell, fumitory, sow thistle) and couple of fields with bad ryegrass and Brome problems
Flufenacet base especially on the bad grassy fields. Plenty of DFF on them all (125 grammes DFF/ha). Axial Pro is expensive and Broadway Star/Palio is good on brome and ryegrass post emergence. I don’t know how Liberator and Crystal are priced yet. Defy prosulfocarb can help on the worst ryegrass fields but the cost starts to mount up.

I hope that you are using cultural controls and a long rotation to help with these issues.

Just bought 3 liberator at £226 on farm Market
Yeah axial is expensive. How does Broadway star compare as haven't used this for a few years.may be worth considering as it will clean up broad leaf weed to in spring won't It?

Broadway covers most common weeds, grass and broad leafed except black grass. Pacifica can be harder on the crop but is best on BG and weaker on broad leafed weeds especially cleavers though it will suppress them for a cheap fluroxypyr later if necessary. A good pre em is a key part of the strategy
