Agricultural supplies business Wynnstay has announced it has acquired Armstrong Richardson Agriculture from the Armstrong Richardson Group.
Armstrong Richardson, as a group of businesses, has been trading since 1925.
Originally a supplier of farm inputs to customers in the north-east of England, it now is involved in wholesale, retail, haulage, fuel and entertainment.
Wynnstay will be acquiring two elements of the business: Armstrong Richardson Agriculture; and the Yorkshire Green grass seed brand.
The acquisition further develops Wynnstay’s presence in the East of England, having previously established a grain trading office as part of the GrainLink business in Grantham.
Stuart Dolphin, Wynnstay arable director, says this is an important acquisition for the business.
He said:
We look forward to working with the team at Armstrong Richardson Agriculture to enable us to bring our comprehensive product and service range to farmers in the eastern part of the UK.
“This further develops our offering in the region,” he concluded
