So, what a year! A worldwide pandemic and a new relationship with the European Union. The one constant being that our beautiful countryside still needs farming and managing for the environmental prosperity of us all.
From 2021 the Government intends to remove all 3 of the greening requirements: Crop diversification, Ecological Focus Areas (EFA) and the permanent grassland rules from the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) which makes the Countryside Stewardship Scheme even more important.
