I see there are loads of people on here using Xero now. Anyone got any good tips for setting it up for arable farming? Just about to start on it next week and any advice on structuring it for best results would be much appreciated!

Get your accountant to help, it will make things easier in the long run.

Yes, we'll be doing that anyway, but they have not used Xero before either, so some tips would be good!

Our accountants transfer it all for you. I'm changing 1 set of accounts from Sage to xero

We're currently on Trimble Farmworks, so moving to the cloud will require a complete setup I would think.

Never knew Trimble did accountancy software too!

Yep, it's integrated into the Farmworks package so that you have precision farming data, plus accountancy (plus drainage planning if you want it) all in one place so your level of MI can be excellent if you set it up right. But it's not in the cloud, it's all by hand and it's laborious as hell, so we're moving to Xero to make it less like hard work.
