Right on cue it has struck, feeling absolutely crap and just wanting to lie down with a bottle of 'festive spirit' but there's no chance will be running around like an idiot until Christmas lunch. any fellow sufferers out there?

Yup, currently in bed with a Lemsip.
Son bought back a bug from school so I’ve got a sore throat, headache, cough, snot and aching joints/muscles.
Feeling better than yesterday so hopefully start feeling human tomorrow

It hit me on Friday, woke up at 3 with some funny dry cough, milked and did my jobs, had breakfast and suddenly felt like that shivery, knackered feeling, had to go back to bed. proper rough saturday just did the bare minimum. treating it with jd and lemsip tablets.. Finally starting to come away a bit today.. Hopefully I'll be over the worse tomorrow..

5 Lemsips in 2 days has just kept me going, reduced the sweats and able to stop my nose constantly dripping. Day 3 and feeling better so Christmas day looking better. Lots of it about so hope I never gave it to the grandkids.

My experience is that the little blighters bring it, from playgroup or wherever.

uurgh grumf, got the 'Santa' run to do today sort out who's getting what, cards written then go round picking up and distributing stuff to immediate family, I really, really, REALLY just want to go back to bed rather than drive all round Dumfriesshire

Fizzy Vit C 1000%RDA one in the morning one at night, paracetamol every 4 hours to keep temp down, kicks the barsteward into touch!

Yes you can , my eldest takes them , been laid up for 3 weeks .
