I have a Yamaha quad bike when I turn to the right or left I get a knock on the left drive shaft to the rear axle is this a fault of the constant velocity joint

If it's like a rolling 'crunckle' noise it will be the cv joint. Consider a whole new shaft, not an original but a cheapie copy. New cv's both ends, new boots and new splined ends. About £120 for a kodiak, I would hate to think whats those parts would be priced up individually and all the work involved.
