we are not all big prairie farmers!Last 2 years I’ve had all mine in ton bags- can’t see why you’d have anything different. 3 bags in the spreader- done. 7 trips to unload a wagon with a standard set of pallet forks
Used to be 30 on a pallet?Depends on the year but usually a pallet of them. That's 40 bags for those who haven't had the pleasure.
What about the standard 500kg of olden days? It’s one thing lifting them....but how will spreader sizes work? Most are now designed for a “standard” 600kg bag.

Don't worry, even I've upgraded..... sort of.. limited to 2 bags now then.Damn it.

yes agreed, 4 bags of Urea in mine fit perfectly, be a right ball ache. Greedy boards at the readyIt’s one thing lifting them....but how will spreader sizes work? Most are now designed for a “standard” 600kg bag.
Maybe before my time, 40 bags or 2 ton has been the standard for 50kg bags for as long as I can remember.Used to be 30 on a pallet?
Olden days? 500kg is still the standard here. Only Yara have 600s and even they still do 500s here and put 4 of them on a pallet. What about the standard 500kg of olden days?
Sounds an impressive setup. I wish we were kitted you like that....though with BPS/ELMS changes I can’t see a great incentive to invest in upgrading to a 4t+ lift capacity handler and a spreader, (let alone tractor to lift it) capable of holding over 3t of fert.

IciDidn't someone do a dumpy bag on a pallet years ago? Lifted from below rather than from above?
Kids are still up so up the hatch and found this.
Is it the one?
