Last 2 years I’ve had all mine in ton bags- can’t see why you’d have anything different. 3 bags in the spreader- done. 7 trips to unload a wagon with a standard set of pallet forks

Sounds an impressive setup. I wish we were kitted you like that....though with BPS/ELMS changes I can’t see a great incentive to invest in upgrading to a 4t+ lift capacity handler and a spreader, (let alone tractor to lift it) capable of holding over 3t of fert.

Exactly.

About 10 years ago all spreader manufacturers changed their hopper sizes to accommodate the 600kg bags.
If 750kg became standard the same would happen again.

Olden days? 500kg is still the standard here. Only Yara have 600s and even they still do 500s here and put 4 of them on a pallet.

You don’t have to lift four at a time. 99% if farms presumably have a loader capable of lifting 1t? And presumably most would put 2x bags in a spinner at one time?

I assume that many of you will remember the ICI dumpy bags but do any of you have a copy of the sales literature for them? My late dad was featured in them and it would be nice to get hold of a copy.
