Yard sweeping brush

Got a new cattle handling system and the penning is between an earth bank and the wall of a shed.its inaccessible with a tractor . It's 120' x 12' the concrete floor is deep groved with a square pattern . After having 70 cattle stood in there for 2 hours the other day I had a go scraping up with a yard scraper having to push a sea of s@@t from one end to the other and then left 30% behind in the groves . I was wondering if there was an easier alternative when my Google search came up with thishttps://www.mowers-online.co.uk/law...UDsKkgnkEfJN7CJ_G8wofV5nmVWPEPz4aAjlJEALw_wcB
Any one have or used one ?

Logic used to do a 4 foot scraper for the front of the quad bike. Used one quite a lot back in the 1990’s to scrape out pig passages. Four wheel drive would of been better but didn’t have one.
Be aware that a rotary brush will flick bit works best when very wet or very dry. It will work well when going parallel with grooves but not so good across them.
Ideally you need a scraper with the brush shown above behind it.

Plant-mec do brushes that slip over the pallet forks.

I use mine on all my grooved yards and it does a fantastic job. No slurry left behind.

Just got a brush that fits on JCB

Brilliant piece of kit, clears no end of slop etc up. Will never be as good as a rotary brush but very good for the cost of them

You could almost do with buying that machine in your link, but also adapting it to push a narrow scraper blade along too. That way you could push the bulk of the slurry out the way, then finish up brushing the yard to clean the grooves out as you wish.

I'm not sure how messy it would get using a rotating brush to clear runny slurry; I have images of it splattering everything in its path!

Yes too tight for a tractor . Washing down would be very easy but would be on a fast track to the Brook unfortunately

Is there any way to construct a drainage channel for it to wash to (surely to catch any run off anyway, but may need enlarging)? Presumably you have somewhere that you would brush/scrape the slurry to anyway.

I've got a powered scraper here that came from a pig unit.

It's based on a large Honda rotovator with forward and reverse gears.

It's for sale cheaps, runs well but wants a throttle and maybe a clutch cable from being stood.
