Yeilder Drill

I ran into the story of the yeilder drill a few years ago when I was desperately trying to find a cheap used drill.
I found a monstrous thing, developed in the seventies, manufactured in earnest in the early eighties. They're basically a tractor pulled house.

I was amazed. I wasn't born then and here these guys are with something that I can't match even now.

Should have put quotes around that. Just my reaction to it.
That said, liquid fertiliser in suspension is hard to come by in my part of the country, the more advanced capabilities of the drill, such as the ability to put seed in the fertiliser band as a multi crop, the ability to apply a fumigant (or even just multiple products) to the seed bed and even the trash cleaners are not easily available in this country.
More personally my fields are not yet fit for a disc drill, that's not a dig at them, or even an insinuation that they won't yield, more that i need to cut silage and haven't tidied up the mess yet.
