Yellow grass - Deficiency?

Looking for some advise on what to apply to a field in which I cut hay off of last year. Grass is quite old and I plan on reseeding it next year. It was cut in July last year and the regrow has been poor and the grass is yellow in colour. I’ve attached some photos and any advice on what the grass may be lacking would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Thats a fungal attack nothing really you can do , may be worth testing the soil as deficiency lime lime and potash can stress a crop as does drought, making fungal attack worse . The main point being though if you do reseed choose a mix that has a high resistance to desase, iv done on farm trials on desease resistance last year being a particularly bad year . The difference between High and the control mixes I used was amazing. One field being so bad stock refusing to eat the grass

It's winter-itis basicallly, nothing much you can do. Make sure the land is in good heart and hope the weather warms. During the colder times grass doesn't grow as well and gets infected by all sorts of maladies, such is life. Viruses, fungal disease, pest damage, this is why you sow mixtures of grass varieties.

Feed your ground up, soil tests may help but I've seen leys get the exact same issue even on land I knew was highly fertile.

Perfect, thanks for that. I presume spreading CAN would help with growth?
